RAPID APPROACHMENT

THINGS ARE COMING INTO PLACE.

My passport has arrived, my plug adapter has arrived, I purchased fabulously comfortable hiking boots, and just plain fabulous purple wellies. I also got a snug little raincoat and some SUPER comfy wool socks. I have my phone situation almost sorted out, and I have my car rental booked. I bought a new camera, so my pictures can be as megapixely as possible, and I've been working to find things to distract my anxiety while I'm on the plane. But I'm actually getting more excited than nervous as the date for my departure rapidly approaches! I've also gotten in contact with a friend in Scotland, as well as a friend or two in England that will be able to show me around. My boss' wife knows some missionaries in Ireland that might be able to give me a place to stay as well, so things are going smoothly.

I can't wait to immerse myself in the culture of this lovely place. I can't wait to meet each new group of owners at each bed and breakfast that I'm staying in. I can't wait to become 30 minutes late to check in because some cute, fluffy sheepsies are in the road. I also heard that there are some native ponies that like to wander around?! AH! I'm getting very excited. I have been planning day by day, even though I know (and hope) that some random Irish occurrence will alter my plans. Maybe instead of visiting three cathedrals and two castles like I planned, I'll instead have a nice chat for hours with some friendly Irish folk. BTW my goal is to have a spot-on Irish accent by the time I get back. And Scottish. My English accent is already PERFECT. LOLZ

Thanks to those of you who have been so supportive! Keep praying! :]
